On Saturday, September 17, 2011 the 1st Annual American Open Taekwondo Championship was held at Gar-Field Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Competitors from Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC gathered for a day of Sparring and Form competitions. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were awarded and the grand champions walked away with trophies that stood almost 6 feet tall!

In 2012, another Dojang will host this event. America's Best Tae Kwon Do Center and Director, Master Suk H. Nam was proud to be the first to host this year. It was a great honor to have our students compete with such high caliber Taekwondo dojangs.
